In a futuristic post-apocalyptic world ravaged by crime and pollution, driven by the mass media and technology… there is high tension between Earth and the outer space colonies. And, in East City, one of America’s megalopolis, the police is not enough to fight the crime.
Who is Nathan Never?
Nathan Never is a detective working for Agency Alfa, one of the many private agencies that are teaming up with the polices forces. The main team at Agency Alfa is made up by the charismatic Nathan Never, the computer genius Sigmund Baginov, the first agent Legs Weaver and the agency chief Edward Reiser.
Never’s past is one of tragedy. He lost both his parents when he was just a boy, they were brutally murdered in vengeance. Then, a ruthless gangster killed his wife Laura and also the kidnapped his daughter Ann. Ann lost her mind because of the trauma, even so her story does not end there. However, this is good in the way that his pain and grief reflects the state of the world that was ravaged by a series of catastrophes in 2024, and sets the mood for the entire comic.
Nathan Never’s character and the comics setting were inspired by great masterworks such as Blade Runner (in particular Rick Deckard interpreted by Harrison Ford), Alien, Gundam, Star Trek, and other ’80s Sci-Fi works. Nathan Never also takes inspiration from Isaac Asimov, who’s often quoted in the comic.
My first every comic book
So, this actually is the cover of my first ever comic book. A comic that may have started more than one passion in my life. The comic came with a little pamphlet about Sci-Fi Movies. Sadly, since then I lost the pamphlet but I still treasure the comic itself.
In this adventure Nathan Never must trace an hacker that goes by the code name Cybermaster, who’s able to make people explode using technology. Only by going inside the cyber space will he be able to defeat the Cybermaster.
